Dosage and Administration
iMEC with TAPE Broad Spectrum Antiparasitic Paste for Horses is given orally at the recommended dose level of 200μg ivermectin/kg and 1mg/kg praziquantel liveweight. The contents of this syringe will treat one horse of 600kg liveweight. Each weight marking on the syringe plunger will deliver 1.29g of paste which is sufficient to treat 100kg live weight. Unlock the knurled ring by making ¼ turn to left and slide it up the plunger shaft so that the side nearest the barrel is at prescribed weight marking. Turn the knurled ring ¼ turn to the right to lock in place. Remove the plastic cap from the tip of the nozzle. Make sure the horse’s mouth does not contain feed. Insert the syringe into the side of the horse’s mouth in the gap between the front and back teeth. Advance the plunger as far as it will go depositing the paste on the rear of the tongue. Immediately raise the horse’s head for a few seconds after dosing to ensure the full dose has been swallowed.
